Geometry Dash Lite Help: WebGL, Loading, Sound & Fullscreen
Fix graphics, download and initialization problems, check Music and SFX settings, and understand browser audio and fullscreen restrictions.
Updated
01 “WebGL is unavailable in this browser”
This means the browser could not provide a usable graphics context, or the context was lost. Reload in an up-to-date browser with graphics acceleration enabled. If your browser or device cannot support WebGL, repeatedly downloading the game will not fix it. A failure in one browser does not mean the game is unavailable on every device.
02 “A game file could not download”
Check whether other pages load, then choose Retry loading. This creates a fresh player and downloads the files it needs, reusing the cache when possible. If the same error returns, try another connection you are allowed to use or another browser. Do not disable security protections or bypass a managed network restriction.
03 “Loading has stopped progressing”
The game transfers about 31 MB before initialization. The percentage comes from the game loader, not a countdown. A slow connection may show the same rounded number even as bytes arrive; that activity keeps the loader alive. The page reports a stall only after three minutes without new download data or increased progress. Retry if it stalls, and close heavy tabs to free memory.
04 “The game could not start”
The files may have downloaded, but the game failed during initialization or later execution. Close other demanding tabs, reload a fresh session, and try an updated browser if it repeats. A failure here is not automatically a network problem. Low available memory or an incompatible graphics environment can prevent startup.
05 No sound, or music without effects?
First click or tap inside the game: browsers can suspend audio until you interact. Check that the browser tab is not muted and that your device volume and output device are correct. Open the game’s settings, or pause a run, to check the separate Music and SFX sliders. If only music or effects are silent, adjust the corresponding slider. If sound still does not play, close the game and start a fresh session, then try an updated browser. Audio behavior varies by browser and device.
06 Slow frames or unavailable fullscreen
Close duplicate game tabs and demanding apps. Try the inline player instead of fullscreen. A phone can slow down when hot or low on memory. If Fullscreen shows an unavailable message, use the normal player or rotate to landscape. Neither option guarantees that a device can run the game.
